ABOUT OF THE INSTITUTION

Education is a tool which helps to inculcate moral, social and democratic values in the students. Eternal values such as unity, integration, self dignity and national pride help an individual to contribute in shaping the future of the country. With this vision in mind, Mrs. Kripa Devi conceived the idea of an educational institution for girls and laid the foundation of Raghunath Girls (P.G.) College under Kripa Devi Trust Fund Society on Feb. 27, 1929 with the noble aim to promote women’s education in the area. The institution started with 5 students and has ever since progressed to become a pioneer and reputed institution of Meerut city. Today it stands high being declared one of the best Girls’ colleges in the state of Uttar Pradesh, accredited B++ by NAAC and awarded status of College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) by UGC in 2006. There has been an ever-growing demand of trained teaching professionals in the last few years. Looking at this demand, the college started un-aided / self financed B.Ed. programme in the academic year 2003-2004, with the aim to prepare qualified and well trained teachers with missionary spirit, zeal, enthusiasm for teaching and with multifaceted personality and vision.
