Ranked Ist in Uttar Pradesh & accredited by NAAC in 2004, Raghunath Girls’ (P.G), College, was established in year 1929 by “Kripa Devi Trust Fund Society”.
Raghunath Girls’ Post Graduate College is the premier all women college of Western U.P.,Meerut, known for its high standards in teaching and research and attracts eminent scholars to its faculty. The college had a modest beginning as a school , with just five girl students .

4. Major Achievements:
i) 6 grants by UGC for books and equipments and a special grant in 2001 for books and equipments.

ii) Five research Papers published.

8 Permanent Teachers run the Department.

Bulbul Gupta, student of MA II English secured 2’ position in B.Ed.(2002) in the C.C.S University, Also qualified NET. and currently working in Modinagar Language Laboratory for the weaker section of students emphasis is particularly on grammar, spoken English & application of Language.
8. Equipments with Department:
Colour TV, Set with stabilizer, Video Cassette Player, Video Cassettes, Audio Cassettes, Cordless Microphone, Amplifying speaker system, computer, printer and internet facility.
9. Competitions:
Debates, Quiz, Group Discussions, Talent Search competitions, Best out of waste competitions, Salad Dressing Competitions, Dance competitions, One Act Plays, Creative Writing, Declamation Contests, fetes and Melas, Literary Exhibitions.
The software purchased for the Language Laboratory helped the students in :
1. Enhancing speech skills through use of audio-visual technique through Internet for students.
2. Improving grammatical understanding through basic understanding basic understanding of the rules and regulations of grammar in oral and written speech, for students of B.A. III.
3. Correcting the use of tense and verb.
4. Improving proficiency in writing through study of methods observed in the process of writing for students of M.A. II
5. Articulation of speech through stress, pronunciation, strong and weak form of words and rhythmical variations.
6. Developing confidence in public speaking through understanding of the correct use of language for students
of M.A. II.
7. Increasing proficiency in public transaction through the written word. Develop skill in language and register application for official purposes.
8. Upgrading the weaker section of the students towards speed and fluency of language through the use of computers.
9. Upgrading the weaker section of the students in the area of understanding the processes, nuances and techniques of language implementation.
10. Strengthening the students ability and aptitude to use language correctly, appropriately and efficiently so as to build competent individuals who will be able to serve society well.
